Marcello Gandini, mungkin nama ini asing dan baru saja anda baca atau ketahui. Namun bagi beberapa orang, nama ini telah menjadi legenda desainer automotive. Anda bisa saja tidak mengenal beliau, namun sangat sulit untuk tidak mengenali mahakarya yang telah diproduksi. Mulai dari Lamborghini Miura, Lamborghini Countach, Lamborghini Espada, Lancia Stratos, Alfa Romeo Montreal, BMW 5 Series (E12), Ferrari Dino 308 GT4, Maserati Khamsin, Renault 5 Turbo, Citroen BX, Bugatti EB110, Lamborghini Diablo, dan masih banyak daftarnya. Memulai profesi desainer sejak 1971 dan terhitung sudah 150 design mobil yang telah dibuatnya.

Shiro Nakamura has been Nissan’s Chief Creative Officer since 2006. He was the Chief Creative Officer of Nissan, Infiniti, and Datsun. Behind his direction, there are many masterpieces and iconic cars created. He immediately exerted leadership in driving the design team to create distinctive and innovative designs based on Japanese traditional aesthetics and contemporary culture. Iconic cars, such as the Nissan Cube, Fairlady Z, GT-R, Murano, Qashqai, Juke, and LEAF, as well as Infiniti M, FX, and Essence, were created under Nakamura’s guidance.

Aston Martin DB5 and James Bond 007 Goldfinger movie, in my opinion, is more than a legend. Although not the first in the DB series, the DB5 is the best-known cinematic James Bond car, first appearing in the James Bond film Goldfinger (1964). The most instantly recognizable car of all time, the DB5 made its first appearance in the third James Bond movie, Goldfinger, alongside Sean Connery as James Bond. Laden with gadgets and armaments installed by Q Branch, the secret agent’s Aston Martin became an instant hit with moviegoers.

Maurice Wilks or Maurice Fernand Cary Wilks (1904–1963) was a British automotive and aeronautical engineer, and by the time of his death in 1963, he was the chairman of the Rover Company, a British car manufacturer. He was the founder of the Land Rover brand and responsible for the inspiration and concept work that led to the development of the Land Rover off-road utility vehicle.

Cerita tentang Lomba Burung Perkutut

Sudah lama tidak update content di blog ini, saatnya bercerita lagi. Jadi ceritanya ada lomba Lomba Seni Suara Burung Perkutut Nasional, Paku Alam Cup VII di Alun-Alun Kidul Yogyakarta pada hari Minggu, 14 Juli 2019. Kali pertama saya melihat lomba seperti ini. Awalnya hanya iseng lewat, namun rasa penasaran itu muncul ketika banyak penonton berteriak sambil menyebut angka. Saling bersahutan dan masing-masing punya andalan angka sambil menyebut nama seseorang. Dan kemudian saya ketahui bahwa angka itu adalah angka tiang dimana sangkar itu berada. Nama yang dipanggil-panggil adalah juri yang berada dalam arena lomba. Rasanya mereka juga bukan penonton biasa, namun saya yakin mereka ini adalah yang punya burung atau supporter burung yang ikut berlomba.

Bangga, takjub dan terharu. Itulah perasaan saya ketika melihat Upacara Pembukaan atau Opening Ceremony Asian Games 2018 pada tanggal 18 Agustus 2018 (atau 18-8-18). Spektakuler. Keindahann, keragaman bangsa yang ber-bhinneka tunggal ika ini dikemas dan disajikan, tidak hanya kepada warga negara Indonesia namun juga ke warga negara global yang melihat acara tersebut. Salut dan apresiasi tertinggi kepada semua pihak yang mempersiapkan dan melaksanakannya. Sehingga bisa menimbulkan kebanggaan dan optimisme bahwa Bangsa Indonesia mampu dan layak mendapat amanah menjadi tuan rumah Asian Games 2018.
