This artwork is called Cupo-BAP and made from a photograph of our beloved colleague that resigned from the current job. BAP is the initial name of our colleague, Bayu Ade Pramudia. The hardest part of this creation is found the good photograph without asking the photo from him because this artwork was made as a secret project.
As a gift for his farewell party, we also asked our colleagues at the office to give signed or autographs or short messages in the picture before we give this artwork to Mr. BAP.
It’s all started from white paper, 200 gsm. Modify the photograph on Photoshop and separated and stencilized by color.
Simulate each layer and try to match it. Correct it if found some mistakes or need some adjustment.
Why using blue colors gradation? Because people knew him as Philips Lighting employee.
After the paint is dry then apply glue for each layer.
The detail of painting and attached on each layer. Some adjustment needs to fix the appearance because of broken surfaces.
