Happiness for industrial/product designers is simple, that is when designs are made getting approval to be mass-produced and marketed. If later the product is successful in the market or gets an award, it is a bonus from the efforts that have been made.

What are activities that you would do during flight? Is it sleep, watch movies, read the book, listen to music, writing the report on a laptop, playing a game on the tablet, talking with colleagues or other passengers? I believe most of us will do these kinds of activities during the flight. But there is another alternative activity that you can try to do during your flight. You may try to make sketches. With sketches, you just need simple and basic tools. Pen or pencil with paper or books. Just do a sketch or draw anything. Yes, anything. It can be something in front of your sight (can be passenger seat, people, food, book, watch, flight attendant, etc.) or something that come up in your mind or imagination (your future car, future wife, future house, your cat at home, flower in your garden, delicious breakfast that you enjoy before flight, etc.)
Dalam beberapa hari terakhir ini, di laman Facebook saya, banyak yang posting cuplikan-cuplikan film aksi dan fiksi dari film produksi India. Banyak adegan aksi atau kepahlawanan dari tokoh protagonis ataupun antagonis yang ditampilkan secara extra-ordinary, melebihi kemampuan imajinasi kita. Bahkan ketika kita mencoba memaklumi bahwa film itu adalah fiksi, namun tetap saja kita takjub. Bisa membalikkan mobil sendirian, melawan ratusan tentara sendirian dalam duel senjata terbuka namun tidak terluka, dan banyak adegan yang saya sendiri sulit untuk mendeskripsikan. Silakan anda cari sendiri, karena saya tidak akan membahas betapa dahsyatnya adegan-adegan tersebut. Namun saya akan coba bertanya proses dibalik adegan tersebut sampai bisa akhirnya tayang.
This paper cutting Cupo Portrait, Cupo-BHP, is created as the request by a daughter who wants to give a birthday present to her father. The color requested represents the color of the tiger, since her father shio is the tiger too. As usual, the hardest part is finding the photograph that can be created with stenciled photo and has enough resolution to modified.
Let’s call it Cupo-FKM. FKM is the initial name of this girl that her photograph made as an object of paper cutting and painting. This is the custom request from a customer that initiate to give a different gift as a birthday present. Also, request to give pink gradation and pink wooden frame. FKM is 4yrs old girl who lived in Paris.
The experiment of paper cutting to make a transition from the simple square shape and make color gradation for each layers using some color spectrum.
On this project, we are trying to maximize all layered that already cut. As you know, when we cut the paper, it will create 2 shapes. Sometimes we call it positive and negative shape. This project made on September 30, 2014.
In this Cupo-Basmalah, the concept combines the art of calligraphy with some layer of papercutting and combine with color gradation for each layer.
This artwork is called Cupo-BAP and made from a photograph of our beloved colleague that resigned from the current job. BAP is the initial name of our colleague, Bayu Ade Pramudia. The hardest part of this creation is found the good photograph without asking the photo from him because this artwork was made as a secret project.
