GBK Main Stadium Jakarta facade lighting

I am honored and excited. Those were the feeling when I saw there are so many amazing photographs and videos on social media displaying the project that I have involved with and our solutions take the important role and become the reason why they take a photo or video. On Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Facebook and also on conventional media (newspaper, television), you will easily find those images. I am talking about the result of the renovation of Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium or famously known as Stadion Gelora Bung Karno or GBK is a multi-purpose stadium located at the center of the Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex in Central Jakarta, Indonesia. Since Indonesia will host the 2018 Asian Games and 2018 Asian Para Games, which will be held in Jakarta and Palembang, which GBK is chosen as the main stadium, then the government decide to make improvement for the stadium to meet the Asian Games criteria. The improvement also happened with the lighting. Not only for pitch lighting but also the architectural lighting.

Long story short, after so many design revision, discussion, calculations, mockup, finally we got approval and start the order process. Once the goods delivered to project site, installation process started. Here are the details of the lighting solution installed in this project:
– Philips Vaya Tube RGB 1220mm, around 1200pcs
– Philips Vaya Tube RGB 305mm, around 100pcs
– Philips Vaya Linear RGB 28x84deg 610mm, around 900pcs
– Philips Vaya Flood MP RGB (combination of 10, 20 and 40 deg), around 400pcs
– Philips Color Kinetics ArchiPoint Powercore RGB, around 100pcs
– Controller: Pharos LPC X 100 Universe + Creston
– Enttec Storm 8 and Storm 24, Ethernet to DMX converter
– Cisco Ethernet Switch
– Fiber Optic connection

Finally, the renovation of GBK Main Stadium has finished and officially inaugurated on January 14, 2018, by the President of Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. And the collaboration of Philips Lighting Indonesia, PT. Adhi Karya (www.adhi.co.id) as the Main Contractor and PT. Mandala Putera Prima (www.mandalaputeraprima.com ) as Sub Contractor, to provide architectural facade lighting of GBK Main Stadium can be presented to the public and ready for Asian Games 2018. And for me, this is the 2nd project that inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. The 1st was Simpang Susun Semanggi in Jakarta

No more words that I will type here to describe the result of GBK facade lighting because seeing is believing. There are so many images or photographs or video found on the internet to freeze those magnificent moments with GBK facade lighting. But, since on last Tuesday (February 6, 2018), Marketing Communication from Philips Lighting Indonesia and me doing a photo shoot and video shoot for GBK Main Stadium facade lighting, here are some photographs were taken with my smartphone:
