Tocho, Jean Pierre, and Ely travel from Spain to Mali to meet Ely’s dying father for the last time. And they decided to make a road trip from Spain to Mali using a Renault 4L.
Excellent road trip movie with powerful friendship as the background, adventure in the desert of Africa, with wonderful actors and very good acting. Excellent photography and great shots of landscapes and locations. This movie is recommended watching on Netflix, especially in this Idul Fitri/Eid Al-Fitr moment, when you miss the atmosphere of Mudik to your lovely hometown. When you miss the traffic jams, delicious local cuisine, green scenery of nature, warm welcome of your big family and friends. But it is still an Eid. A time to celebrate, a time for forgiveness. Thanks to Netflix for this wonderful movie.
The French fondly called the Renault 4L, which was named de film, “catrelle” (after ‘quatre L’). It’s an iconic car in France, usually the students’ first car due to its low price.
